On 23rd July 2020, the Peru Regional Faculty o with collaborating partners organized and hosted the Webinar "The importance of Research Integrity Policies in Academia".
On 3rd January 2020, a meeting was hosted to discuss "Practical Aspects, Contingency Plans and Priorities in the Care and Use of Research Animals during COVID-19".
Our speaker, Javier Guillen, is the Senior Director for the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animals Care International (AAALAC).

This event was jointly organized by the Latin American Forum for Research Ethics Committees (FLACEIS per initials in Spanish), the Peruvian IRB Network (REDCEI), and Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, with the sponsorship of The Global Health Network, EDUPYME and EMERGE.
This collaborative educational activity among Peruvian and international organizations aimed to update Peruvian IRB members and investigators on biobanks, ethical and legal aspects, data sharing, and broad consent, as well as create in-depth discussions sharing with our international attendees the Peru progress in the regulatory system, how to work in IRB networks and the role of IRBs in scientific integrity issues.
