Chikungunya and Zika Viruses in the Northeast of Brazil: Global health perspectives focusing on human functionality

This workshop invited physiotherapists interested in the rehabilitation and functionality of patients with Zika and Chikungunya. Discussion and practices were shared that focused on definitions and concepts, epidemiology, clinical manifestations, kinetic-functional disturbances, functional classification, and methods of treatment.

There was the participation of expert research professors with extensive publications in the area, clarification of research methods, discussion and international conference, as well as community participation with people directly affected by the consequences of arboviruses.

The workshop aimed to develop the concept of training in the collective health area of research, specifically the front-line interaction with Arboviruses and its consequences for the population.
