About: I am a nursing manager, with more than 6yrs experience at management level at Primary Healthcare in a research environment, who has advanced his professional career by promoting research within the nursing profession and is now playing a key strategic role promoting lifelong learning and advising AHRI’s ExCO. I liaise with different stakeholders - mainly the with the Department of Health at various levels local, subdistrict, district (eThekwini & Umkhanyakude) and provincial. I have extensive knowledge and experience on conducting evidence-based research and implementation science where I promote the uptake of research findings into routine healthcare to improve the quality of care. Currently, I lead clinical team staff members - professional nurses, enrolled nurses, coordinators, trackers, and research assistants. I have created a positive working environment and provide leadership on various aspects – planning, management, coordination, administration, supervising, monitoring and evaluation of all clinical departments’ operational activities.
