MANTRA is a free online course for those who manage digital data as part of their research project.

MANTRA is a free, online non-assessed course with guidelines to help you understand and reflect on how to manage the digital data you collect throughout your research. It aimed at post-graduate students, early career researchers, and also information professionals, and is freely available on the web for anyone to explore on their own.

Through a series of interactive online units you will learn about terminology, key concepts, and best practice in research data management.

There are eight online units in this course and one set of offline (downloadable) data handling tutorial.

Resources guide for disaster medicine and public health

The US Department of Health and Human Services has collated a resources guide for disaster medicine and public health called Disaster Lit®.
The Resource Guide for Disaster Medicine and Public Health is a database of links to disaster medicine and public health documents available on the Internet at no cost. Documents include expert guidelines, research reports, conference proceedings, training classes, fact sheets, websites, databases, and similar materials selected from over 700 organizations for a professional audience. Materials selected are from non-commercial publishing sources and supplement disaster-related resources from PubMed (biomedical journal literature) and MedlinePlus (health information for the public).

This one-hour webinar discusses the Zika virus, and how it affects vision in babies whose mothers were infected with the virus during pregnancy and in infants diagnosed with congenital Zika syndrome. It provides information about how professionals working with expectant mothers and parents of babies with congenital Zika syndrome can provide direct support and increase access to supportive services for vision impairment and low vision services.
